Journalism students and graduates clinch 10 Campus Newspaper Awards

Twenty-one students and alumni of the Department of Journalism won a total of 10 awards in the 2022 Campus Newspaper Awards hosted by the China Daily Hong Kong Edition. The number of prizes garnered by members of HKBU was the second highest among the 50 universities from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and the Mainland, reflecting their outstanding performance at the Awards.

The media outlets run by the journalism students, namely San Po Yan, The Young Reporter, The Young Financial Post and the Broadcast News Network, shone in many of the award categories, including the Best in Features Video Reporting (both Chinese and English), Best in Arts and Culture News Reporting (Chinese), Best in Feature Writing (English), Best in News Video Reporting (English), and Best in Business News Reporting (Chinese). In addition, they also clinched all three prizes in the Best in Data Journalism (English) award category.
