Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development to present awards at HKBU’s Global Chinese Universities Student Film and Television Festival
on Saturday
The 14th Global Chinese Universities Student Film and Television Festival organised by the Academy of Film of the School of Communication of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is taking place from today through 28 October. This year, 105 entries were received from 56 institutions in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and overseas to compete for a total of 17 awards, which includes Golden Award, Highly Commended, Best Drama Award, Best Director Award for Drama, Best Documentary Award, Best Animation Award, Foreign Film Award.
An Award Presentation Ceremony will be held on Saturday, details are as follows:

Time: 7:00 pm (cocktail reception begins at 5:30 pm)
Venue: Tsang Chan Sik Yue Auditorium (AAB 201), 2/F Academic and Administration Building, HKBU, Baptist University Road, Kowloon Tong

This year’s panel of judges include Mr Tam Ka-ming (Director/Editor), Mr O Sing-pui (Director/Cinematographer), Mr Au Man-kit (Director/Scriptwriter), Mr Michael Robinson (Animator/Multimedia Designer/Lecturer), Mr Norman Chan (Producer/Lecturer) and Ms Mo Lai (Film and Theatre Director/Scriptwriter/Actress).
