First launched by the School and its alumni in 2007, the Award was set up in memory of Mr Chang Kuo-sin (1916-2006), a distinguished journalist, filmmaker, commentator and educator. Mr Chang was head of the Department of Communication (now School of Communication) of the then Hong Kong Baptist College from 1978 to 1986. To commemorate the various aspects of Mr Chang’s career, prizes are awarded for substantive work in three categories: Journalism, Creative Audio-Visual Production, and Commentary.
