Professor Kara Chan ranked as world’s top scientist by Research.com

Professor Kara Chan from the Department of Communication Studies has been ranked among the world’s top scientists in the field of social science and humanities for 2023 by Research.com. This recognition also extends to 12 other researchers from HKBU, representing diverse disciplines such as natural sciences, business administration, Chinese medicine, and social sciences.

Led by Chief Data Analyst Professor Imed Bouchrika, Research.com uses integrated data sources including OpenAlex and CrossRef to provide accurate results. The rankings are based on the scientist's Discipline H-index, which includes papers and citation data for the examined discipline.
