Three distinguished scholars from the School of Communication, including Professor Kara Chan, Professor Kenneth Paul Tan, and Professor Ran Wei, were ranked as the world's top 2% most-cited scientists in 2023 by Stanford University. This notable achievement reflects the exceptional caliber of these scholars and highlights their significant contributions to their respective fields of research. They are among the 52 researchers from HKBU recognised on the list this year, demonstrating the University's expanding research strength and impact across the world.
The ranking is based on the “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators”, compiled and announced annually by a group of researchers at Stanford University, USA.
