Research Postgraduate student receives Top Student Paper Award (English Only)

Moon Quang Minh Nguyet Nguyen (left) won the Top Student Paper Award in the Law & Policy Division at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass CommunicationConference (AEJMC) 2023 for her paper entitled, “Media presentations of Vietnam’s cybersecurity law: A comparative approach with corpus-based critical discourse analysis”. Nguyen also received the 2022-2023 HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund – Reaching Out Award (ROA) for her internship at the Catholic University of Portugal and the University of Shanghai John Yuen Memorial Scholarship Award.

Meanwhile, Zhihuai Lin (right) was awarded the 2023 HKSAR Reaching Out Award (ROA) for his paper titled “The ‘Othered’ Africa: African Narratives Construction by Chinese Self-Media" at the 73rd Annual International Communication Association (ICA) Conference.
