Chinese Journalism Year 4 student Kong Pak-him won the Silver Award in the Campus Category at the 19th Consumer Rights Reporting Awards. His award-winning news story, which was published in the student publication San Po Yan, covered the lack of regulations on various emerging tobacco products.
Meanwhile, six journalism alumni also grabbed awards in different categories, including the Gold Award in the Text Category (Investigative Reporting) and the Gold Award in the Audio Category.
The contest was jointly organised by the Consumer Council, the Hong Kong Journalists Association and the Hong Kong Press Photographers Association.
