Call for Papers: 2024 ICA Preconference on Strategic Communication

The School of Communication is co-organizing the 2024 ICA preconference, which will be held at the University of Technology Sydney. The preconference's theme is "Impacts of Strategic Communication in an Interconnected World."

The conference is scheduled to take place on 16-17 June, 2024. We encourage you to participate by submitting your papers and extended abstracts. The deadline for abstract submissions is 20 January, 2024. You can find the call for papers and submission information here.

We are pleased to announce that papers presented at the preconference will be eligible for consideration of publication in a special issue of the Journal of Communication Management. JCM is an ESCI journal with an impact factor of 3.1 (2022). It is Q1 in Communication by JCI (as considered by many other universities). The special issue will be dedicated to the preconference presentations.

As a joint ICA preconference, we are partnering with the International Forum on Public Relations & Advertising Conference (PRAD), the Public Relations Scholars' Community (PRSC, formerly Public Relations Society of China), and the Asia Pacific Public Relations Research and Education Network (APPRREN). This collaboration will provide you with a unique opportunity to engage in intellectual discussions, debates, and network with scholars from the Greater China region (mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) as well as the Asia Pacific region. It is an excellent chance to explore potential future collaboration opportunities.

We encourage you to participate and make the most of this valuable academic event. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Professor Regina Chen (yrchen@hkbu.edu.hk ), Head of the Department of Communication Studies.
