Still Human film director Oliver Chan and actor Anthony Wong to attend HKBU screening



The award-winning film Still Human will be screened on 13 April 2019 (Saturday) to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Higher Diploma in Creative Film Production programme offered by the Academy of Film, which is part of the School of Communication at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Director and HKBU alumna Ms Oliver Chan Siu-kuen and renowned actor Mr Anthony Wong Chau-sang will be the guest speakers.

Still Human, a critically-acclaimed movie written and directed by Ms Oliver Chan, garnered eight nominations in total at the 38th Hong Kong Film Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best New Performer and Best New Director. The movie has also scooped a number of awards at different local and international film festivals, such as the 13th Asian Film Awards and the 14th Osaka Asian Film Festival.

Apart from Ms Oliver Chan, the production team of Still Human, including the assistant director, production manager, associate production manager, cinematographer and several actors, are also HKBU alumni and graduated from the Higher Diploma in Creative Film Production Programme. They will join the event tomorrow and share their experiences with the participants.

The programme has nurtured numerous aspiring directors, actors, and other film-related talents, helping them to stand out in an incredibly competitive industry.
