HKBU School of Communication to host The Fourth International Conference on Media Literacy: Multidisciplinary Approach to Media Literacy Research and Practice tomorrow

After decades of development, the research and practice of media literacy education has matured and reached a crossroads of many academic disciplines due to its multidisciplinary characteristic. In view of this, the School of Communication of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), in collaboration with Institute of Communication Studies, Communication University of China, will hold The Fourth International Conference on Media Literacy: Multidisciplinary Approach to Media Literacy Research and Practice on 5 and 6 November so as to provide a platform for exchange among academics and educators on the new development path of media literacy education including a review of the criteria for building media literacy as an emerging academic discipline.

Venue: Mr. and Mrs. Lau Chor Tak Multi-Purpose Hall, Level 2, Madam Kwok Chung Bo Fun Sports and Cultural Centre, HKBU Shaw Campus, Renfrew Road, Kowloon Tong

More than 70 academics and educators from more than 10 countries, including the Czech Republic, India, Mainland China, Singapore, Sweden and the US will participate in the two-day conference and its three plenary sessions and 10 panels.
