About the Project

The Cases in Chinese Internet Studies (CICIS) aims to avail instructors and students of digital communication to a locally relevant culturally discriminant and pedagogically heuristic pool of resources. CICIS consists of two broad branches of content: (1) a collection of cases of internet studies in China and (2) archived interviews with internet scholars and area experts. The website furnishes ready-made teaching materials for introductory core courses such as Communication Theories which are expandable to more advanced and topic-specific electives such as Communication and Technology Internet in China as well as New Media Theories and Practices for both undergraduate and graduate students.
