HKBU 60th Anniversary Celebration - School of Communication Alumni Homecoming Dinner

More than 200 alumni, staff and guests attended the School of Communication HKBU 60th Anniversary Alumni Homecoming Dinner co-organised by the School of Communication, HKBU Communication Alumni Association and Alumni Affairs Office at Renfrew Restaurant on 10 September.

The dinner was graced with the presence of President Prof. Roland Chin; Vice-President (Research & Development) Prof. Rick Wong; Vice-President (Teaching & Learning) Dr. Albert Chau; Honorary University Fellow and the second Head of Department of Communication Mr. Raymond Wong; beloved son of the third Head of Department of Communication Mr. Chang Kuo-sin, Mr. Chang Chi-wu; the current Dean of the School Prof. Huang Yu; President of HKBU Communication Alumni Association Dr. Amen Ng; Director of Alumni Affairs Dr. Melanie Lee and many awardees of the Distinguished Alumni Communicator Awards.

Following speeches by President Chin, Prof. Huang and Associate Dean alumnus Lau Chi-kuen, the University management team and VIP guests led the cake-cutting and toasting ceremony.

Alumni from five decades (1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s & 2010s) enjoyed the live show of the band “Dizzy Cream” with Kenelm Li (Public Relations and Advertising) as the vocal, in addition to having a reminisce of the good old days with one another. Songs performed included “Below the Lion Rock”, “Forget You Not”, “Love You More Day By Day” and “My Happy Era”. As finale to the banquet, everyone sang the HKBU 60th Anniversary Theme Song together.
