Professor Ringo Ma Selected as Scholar of K.C. Wong Education Foundation Academic Lecture Sponsorship Scheme 2013

Professor Ringo Ma, Associate Dean of the School of Communication, was selected as the Scholar of “K.C. Wong Education Foundation Academic Lecture Sponsorship Scheme 2013” by the University. He delivered four lectures entitled “Guanxi and Patterns of Conflict Management” at Tsinghua University, Communication University of China, Peking University and Renmin University of China in the mainland from 4 to 16 December, 2013.

These four lectures were all well-received. In the lecture held at Peking University, the lecture theater was even filled to the brim. “It was a very pleasant experience. What impressed me most is the students’ enthusiasm to learn and their strong interest in social science research.” Professor Ma said.

Professor Ma is a renowned scholar in the field of Communication. He has published books entitled Chinese Conflict Management and Resolution, How Much Do You Know about Doctor-Patient Communication? and Health Communication and Public Health. The “K.C. Wong Education Foundation Academic Lecture Sponsorship Scheme“ is run by the K.C. Wong Education Foundation. The scheme promotes academic exchange between the mainland and Hong Kong/Macao by providing faculty members of selected institutions in Hong Kong and Macao with sponsorship to visit mainland institutions and vice versa.
