Secondary students get to know communication professions at seminar
傳播界精英同傳情 浸大辦講座介紹傳理工作

More than 200 secondary students were given a comprehensive introduction to the wide variety of careers in the communication industry as well as information about HKBU's communication programmes at a seminar entitled "Realising Your Dreams through Communication Professions" co-organised by the School of Communication and the Hok Yau Club last Saturday (11 November).

Three alumni speakers shared their invaluable experiences with the students: Ms. Lisa Hui, Commercial Director of RoadShow; Mr. Chan Wing-kam, Producer at RTHK, and Mr. Chan Wai-li, Feature Reporter at Cable TV.

Professor Chen Ling, Acting Dean of the School of Communication, said: "The School of Communication is committed to elevating education standards, responding rapidly to community needs, and educating students to be high calibre professionals. We believe this seminar has provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of both programmes and careers in communication."

Over the decades, the School of Communication has built on its success in nurturing not only professionals in the journalism, TV and film industries, but also in advertising, public relations and management, Professor Chen added.

 
 

超過二百名中學生參加於上週六(十一月十一日)由傳理學院與學友社舉辦的「傳理工作、 傳情為你展」講座,了解傳播行業和浸大提供的傳理課程。

講座邀得三位傳理學院校友與中學生分享在傳播界的經驗,包括路訊通商務總監許冰心小姐、香港電台電視部編導陳榮錦先生和有線電視記者及節目主持陳偉利先生。

傳理學院署理院長陳凌教授說:「多年來,傳理學院致力提高教學素質,緊隨時代步伐,吸 取各種學界精英,務求令學院能夠真正培養出應變社會的傳播專門人才。透過是次講座,傳 理學院希望參加者對傳播行業及傳播課程有正確全面的了解。」

陳教授表示,三十多年來,傳理學院不僅培育了知名的專業新聞和電影電視工作者,還有很 多公關廣告和管理的專才。
