Nine journalism graduates win 15 prizes in Hong Kong News Awards 2015

Nine alumni of the Department of Journalism, the Masters of Arts in International Studies programme and the Associate Degree of Arts (Journalism) programme scooped 15 awards at the Hong Kong News Awards 2015.

The awards were for Best News Reporting, Best Business News Reporting, Best Science News Reporting, Best Arts and Culture News Reporting, Best Young Reporter, Best News Writing (Chinese), Best Business News Writing (Chinese), Best News Writing (English), Best Business News Writing (English), Photographic Section (News) and Photographic Section (Sport).

Organized by The Newspaper Society of Hong Kong every year, the Hong Kong News Awards aim to recognize the outstanding achievements of journalists and to raise professional standards. The awards are widely recognized as the most authoritative in Hong Kong.

The winning entries for this year were selected from more than 600 entries submitted by 13 local Chinese and English language newspapers. The award presentation ceremony was held on April 25th.
