Film and Media Arts

 

The Film and Media Arts Major offers a unique integration of two Concentrations, Film and Media Arts, to equip students with the essential knowledge to establish careers in the creative industries including audiovisual production, interactive games, digital animation and arts-related administration. The Film Concentration embraces the gems of the well-received Cinema and Television programme while the Media Arts Concentration extends the professional training into the arena of online, interactive and digital media.

 

Film
Students of Film Concentration will learn both practical and conceptual dimension of film, video, screenplay and animation followed by intensive course work in history, criticism, writing, directing, producing, and editing.

 

Media Arts
The Media Arts Concentration provides theoretical training in visual design and creativity with the emphasis of proficiency in leveraging the digital media for various forms of creative expressions, such as digital animation, interactive games, visual design and art installation.
